channel back up

hi hope someone can help! i have all channels on my box (ex1000sl) but i want to save the channels on to my pc!! do i just press upload on the firmware software and it save it in a file for me all do i need something else??

Thats all you need to do, once you have your channels arranged to your preference or you can leave them at the default autosort setting.

thanks for getting back so quickly, just 1 more question now if all my channels are back up on my pc can i download them to my friends box which is max-v?

Yes it will be compatible with later Max models and the EX5000/EX5100.

i asume that i will need the software for the max-v to do this!!!
and what menu part do i need togo to download the channels?

Use voxer or dnupman to upload the CDF to the Max V. You will find both in downloads I think if not post back and I will up one of them for you.

Yes thats it just select your CDF in voxer and press the blue arrow pointing right (send to button ) and it will be uploaded to the Max V.

just try to back my channels from the box (ex1000sl) to the PC but it comes up can't open file!!!

just try again to upload to PC does it save as a file that you can not open?

After pressing UPLOAD a box will appear to create file
Insert name[chls.eurovox] where prompted & save
CH.data will then upload & be saved in file [chls.eurovox]
