Can anyone tell me if its normal for the hard drive on a ex5000 to get very hot ?

Hard drives are known get hot during prolonged use, but if your talking about being able to cook an egg on it then it is something that needs to be looked at..maybe you should consult the person you bought it from..or even a replacement..??? -

Hi, I have 4 5100s all with HDDs and they are warm to touch but NOT hot. are u having any other problems, like distorted recordings?
If they are overheating, you will find the picture and or sound are not clear when playing back recording.
It is possible it is over heating, just like they do in a PC, in that case return or replace m8.SLOWLY, OUR FREEDOM IS BEING ERASED.
SOON, WE WILL JUST BE A NUMBER.
