which is the best type of box to buy ..is there a box that has hdd along with a recorder built in ..is help and assistance available in setting it up etc..thanks for any advice. :-)

As a newbie, I would get a Eurovox EX1000SL or a Kryptview. The EX5100 has been known to have hard drive problems. Im not too sure whats the difference with the Starview 4,but then again I would say Eurovoxes are more reliable than Starviews
You could also get the EX7000HD. Im not too sure how reliable it is though
Also TBH, Ive always found the Eurovox Max V to be a reliable receiver, however it doesnt support Nagra 2
