All cables are correct, i bit the bullet and went and got the proper ones from maplin(dont ask) 
, so i got the drivers with the purchase and set up everything as it should be, the ports (com&LPT) recognise my prolific usb-to-serial as com port 3. i start the ufl ex1000 v2.1 and click the big download button above the blanck box, after that a new box with com 3... with 2 progression bars underneith and a start button which is high-lighted come up. nothing then happens, if ipress start a new box appears with "The reciever was not detected"...
Now do i need to change any settings on the eurovox for it to be able to comunicate with my pc/laptop and what do the advanced settings onmy com port settings need to be, i just think something is stopping the box from communicating...
Any help or advice would be great CHEERS...
