What symbol rate should i be using?

    Hi all,
Newbie to forums and eurovox's so sorry if done anything wrong here,
just got a eurovox ex1000sl and would like to know a few things

Firstly what symbol rate should i be using for my area which is cheshire or doesn't it matter?
Also i have scanned for channels but don't think i've got them all so how many channels should i have?
And lastly something that has been bugging me is that the box doesn't glow blue underneath, just has a small blue light next to power.
Is this right or should it glow blue underneath? like on the picture on the box.
worried i might of bought a clone.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

yes the symbolrate does matter, your symbolrate is 6952
you should get about 35 transponders containg a couple of hundred channels
as I don't have that model can't comment on rest of question

Thanks for your reply this prob sounds like real noob question but is brute force scan just a power scan and will this give more channels or will it tell me if i have clone box?

Hello m8, the POWER SCAN will pick up ALL the available channels in your area.
It will NOT tell u if your box is a clone, for that u will have to look here>http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...l-clone-46994/ and compair your box.
If your box is a clone, then using the incorrect softwa*e will kill it.
So u need to make sure its not a clone and use the correct softwa*e.
