Eurovox 7000hd

Thinking about upgrading to the hd Eurovox. Has anyone got one and are they any good?

yes thay are very good the picture quality is great updating the firmware is simple the only down point is the epg

yea its quality and they have just added 3 more hd channels fx hd espn hd and mtv hd and dont forget for the channels that are not hd it upscales it to 1080i

I had one for about a month but recently took it back for a full refund.

The box IMO is too buggy, the EPG is b******cks, changing channels is toooooooo slow and for me was absolutely not worth the ?170 I ppaid for it.

The only plus point is the fact that its HD but for the sake of having 5 or so channels in HD I'd rather do without.

Maybe with a major firmware fix, this box has some real potential, but as it stands, I'd personally stear clear!

why is it b******cks you MUPPET!! I was giving my opinion of the box after using it for a month.

EPG a problem that will be 'sorted soon'? I waited a month and still no word!!!!!!!!!!! And, 15+ HD channels.....are you high? There are about 5 hd channels atm!

I'd rather stick with my samsung SD until a major firmware fix is released! IMO the upscaling of the SD channels is minimal anyways!

STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! unless you're desperate for the few HD channels that are broadcast

as other HD boxes are atleast the ?400 range, i'd say it's not a bad price point

I like mine - had it for about 6 months (still getting the hang of it) - not much to compare it to, other than the V+ box - appart from the epg it's much better than that...

In what way is it better than the V+ box?

I would've thought that the fact that the V+ has built in hard drive the ability to record two channels and watch a third would make it a much better box.

Was thinking of getting hold of one, would you not recommend it?

ive had the ex 7000 for a few days now and it works fine epg is crap but nothing is ever perfect.i,ve noticed a couple of channels are now coming up as scrambled and i dont want to re-scan because it took me a while to move all the channels into some reasonable order and to be honest the ones that have gone i wouldn,t watch anyway.i had sky hd but i was costing too much and i had it from the start when sky only had 1 hd channel vm are just catching up and hopefully they wont take too long and these boxes will still work
