Decompile eurovox firmware

Out of interest would it be possible to decompile new n2 eurovox firmware find the n2 code in there, decompile lets say firmware for max v then rewrite and compile with code from new firmware?

Can you decompile this firmware?
What is it written with e.g c, c++?

Does it sound like a solution for the older boxes?

i,ve read somewhere it will not work as new box and old box written different ways or something
