    Max V issues (moved house)

Hi all, first off, apologies if I'm asking something that's been sorted a thousand times before, will have a good scan through the forums at the weekend when I get time, but here goes.

Moved into a new house (Liverpool, unsure which of the 3 areas though)

    LIVERPOOL 1 - NORTH
    TW
    40966
    LIVERPOOL 2 - NORTH
    TW
    40965
    Liverpool SOUTH
    TW
    40916

Did a full scan on my Max V and got nothing so I re-flashed with "UFL_MAX_V_30_11_08" and then ran the 8% fix (as I had this problem before) "UFL_MAX_V_8%_01_12_08"

I did them in that order 'cause i dunno an awful lot about this stuff but the newer one should be best going on last right?

    Anyway, followed the http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...settings-9789/

Set mine to 6952 (which i think is right)

Then it scanned, but I didn't enter any of the Liverpool codes above anywhere (will look into this next, remembering to factory reset first)

After the scan it did find some channels (some which are pay channels too by the looks of it LFC-TV is subscription i'm sure)

The only thing is, the ones it found are all stuttery and the sound makes a high pitched squeal as the screen locks up and generally goes a bit mental.

So (and if you're still with me, thanks!!)...

Any pointers to help me along? Any help greatly appreciated if I manage to get it working by some miracle myself, I'll make sure to post the solution up here in the hope that it might help some other poor soul

    Phil

(man, just noticed there's a manchester united smiley on here, my location and tv channel of choice might not be the best start for me!)

you would be better off starting again (the 8% fix is only for when you get that problem) too strong a signal gives the symptoms your describing.
so put on the normal firmware and scan, you only need the symbolrate forget about the other figures
