hi all,

i am new to all this, but thought it might be handy to post my experience with ex7000 from start to finish.

I am just about to download the software and purchase the product.

i will post everything i experince.

hope this helps every body.

hi all,

following on from the link for the latest firmware, here is the installation guide for the ex7000.

There are two possible ways of flashing this hardware. The first is via the serial port, but many people do not have this port on their laptop and/or pc. The second way is via a usb pen... nice and simple.

I am currently sifting through the internet to find the best deal for my ex7000.

Flashing The EX7000HD using USB

1. Download the required firmware.
2. Copy the file to your usb pen or equivalent, ensure filename is (flash.tbn).
3. Insert it into the usb slot and switch power off then back on at the rear switch.
4. Box will reboot, open the flash file extract it to its memory and install it automatically.
5. Once flashed select your desired settings, scan then enjoy.

This can also be flashed via null modem cable ,(if required), using the STBM tool this can also be found in downloads Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX7000 Loader & Editor

Hi all,

Thanks for the post. I tried yourcable.co.uk but it doesnt appear that exists??? unless i made a mistake, but I couldnt fint it.

Although price is very important, i also find reliability is important too, and I am always willing to pay a little extra to ensure what i am buying is genuine and from a genuine reseller.

So, I bought the ex7000 from My Cable Box.

My Cable Box-Cable TV Boxes-Eurovox-Eurovox HD EX7000 HD+ Cable Box

The box was ?184.99 and comes with a free 1.5 metre gold plated HDMI cable, and a free 1gb usb pen. Delivery was also free, but they do give you an option for next day delivery at an extra cost of ?9.99 including vat.

This website also allowed me to either register an account and card details, or complete a fast track transaction either via Paypal or a number of other means. I found this really useful, as I have a paypal account with all my banking details already registered. The purchase took about 5 mins, and I received conformation from both Paypal and My Cable Box via e-mail.

As soon as the box arrives, I will let you all know the delivery times and will use the free USB pen to flash the ex7000.

thankswill follow these instructions to day and retest have previously used null cable for the 5000 series and this sounded too easy and i think ive spent longer finding out how to do a 7000 hd box will post my results later and thanks to all

Hi all,

it looks like YourCableBox (Powered by CubeCart) offers the best deal for this ex7000.

www.mycablebox.co.uk had their delivery of the ex7000 stock over the weekend and im hoping to receive mine on either Monday or Tuesday.

Im not sure about all the other products available for virgin tv, but from my research, this ex7000 is the only one i could find that offers 1080i HD TV where it can be flashed. And because of this, it was the only one for me.

I will be back on either Monday or Tuesday to post my installation experience with this thing.
