Eurovox EX7000 + 1TB USB (SATA) HDD

Can anyone help please? The EX7000 keeps saying "USB drive not attached" after a couple of days (I don't use it much). When I try to 'pause live TV' the box reboots and I can no longer access the hard drive. I have it formatted as FAT 32 but haven't partitioned it - I shall do that next as it's my second hard drive already. It's a Maxtor external HDD 1TB.

I'm not aware of any later updates to firmware since I got the box last month.

Any ideas?

I read elsewhere that someone had a 500GB drive that worked okay

ive got 500gb western digital passport drive attached to mine and it works fine but had to format it with windows xp not vista, have vista 32 and 64 on two different pcs and neither worked
