I have had this box only a short while but have found the quality to be superb, others have had varying results with it, I paid about 190 for mine but was happy to pay the extra as I knew it was from a reputable seller.

downside of the box is that it has a HDMI 1.1 but apart from that i have heard that the box functions pretty good... Not sure about the upscalling side of the things... but I have heard that the HD is pretty good.

it's meant to be pretty good -not as flexible as a dbox as the channel lists are a pain and the epg is a bit rubbish - but other than that people seem to like it.

flashing -just get a usb stick, plug in, swtich on - hey presto.

          just got mine yesterday ...

from opening the box to watching tv ... 20 minutes

sorting the channels ... well I have just finished sorting them on the PC so will be updating on the box when I get home tonight.

The EPG isn't very good but should get fixed in next FW upgrade.

Upscaling works great, no pixelation at all on SD Channels.

          HD channels just look great.

Just make sure you change the settings from 720p to 1080i and set aspect ratio to 16:9 and smooth sailing

Recording is simple as hell ... take an external hdd or usb key, formatted in fat32 and smaller than 500gb, plug it into the usb port, a message will appear and disappear on screen saying a usb drive has been attached .... and hit record ... and off you go ... in my experience ... an 8gb usb key holds about 5 hours of tele.

it is the easiest of all the boxes to flash mate.

download latest firmware onto a usb pen
rename the downloaded file to flash.tbn
              turn off eurovox
              insert usb pen into eurovox
turn on eurovox and upgrade will be done automatically

I notice you say a hdd smaller than 500gb is there a reason for this? i'm looking a website where i am considering buying from and it stats it comes with a TB harddrive so thought that would be ideal for recording.

Thanks for all your views on this box very helpful, would you mind explaining what is the problem with the epg? dont want it pissing the mrs off or she'll piss me off .
                thanks again

I read somewhere that larger hdd's didnt work, however if they are selling them with the box it must work

the epg is just reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally slow. But the quality of the picture more then makes up for that

hi everyone i revcieved my eurovox ex7000hd last week which i bought from boxmagic it was ?175 free p&p with a very good quality hdmi lead included. what can i say easy to flash and 1 scan and all channels working fine i previously had a starview "the box" and picture quality is now loads better also people complain about the slow channel changes and epg but it seems faster then my starview box so very pleased and channel sorting is simple. does any one know how to get program information on the epg that is my only problem so far i can only get program names and times but no detailed info on the programs!! thanks for help and advice i have recieved from you all i think i would of struggled a lot more with out this site

                        Hi All,

My first post but just ordered my EX7000 today for delivery tomorrow. Have been very happy with my previous Eurovox just need the HD now.
I'm trying to download the latest firmware but the site won't give me access to the page, it says it is because i haven't posted yet so hopefully this will resolve it.
