How do I backup my favourites and channel list on Eurovox 700HD??

Hi guys I got my eurovox 700hd yesterday and meesed about with it last night.
I first tried using the EX7000 Loader & Editor to backup and edit everything, but couldnt really get on with it!

I basically spent over 2 hours last night sorting my favourites out on the box itself! So.. now how do I backup my hard earned work? If I upload the channel list to my USB stick, will that backup EVERYTHING ive done with my channels, like keep all my folder names etc etc???

Is there another program I can use to sort/edit/rename my channels on my PC using only the USB stick? I dont have null modem connection on my laptop so must be USB.

    Download to usb pen (channel.tbn)
This will save all channels / favs. If you have to do a full scan in the future you just upload the channels back onto the box from the pen.

Ok cool, so if I upload my CURRENT CHAHEL.TBN on to my USB stick, it will definitely keep my FAVOURITES? Im sure somehwere else I heard that it loses the group names that I have made, eg favourites 1 ive renamed to MOVIES etc etc. So does it definitely save this date?

        It did for me.
How long would it take to write your fav names anyway, 5 mins?

Easiest way found was to use stbm application to edit channel data into required favourites and upload back to the box. A copy of stbm attached if needed

Copy of STBM.pdf (rename the file extension to zip after downloading)

Yes use STBM to edit etc. But keep it on your pen.
Also update your channel data quite regulary (HD etc). You don't want to start searching for them later.

Ok, so when you say update channel data quite regularly, do you mean me pressing menu, user installation, ok, info to select all tp's and then pressing the bllue button to scan???

How many times per month/s should I do this mate?

Paul , yes you can do that when and if you lose channels.
What i meant was keeping your channel list on your usb pen up to date just in case of complete data (channel) loss.

Ahh, get ya! Ok, I'll basically copy my channel list maybe once every few weeks on to my USB stick.. saves the messing about in future if it goes wrong!

I am having difficulty sorting my favorites - is it possible to use somebody elses file (Channel info) or are they different, dependent on where you are in the country?
