    ex5100 PVR harddrive prob

    Hi peeps

    New to all this but your help had me up and running within 2 hours of my box being delivered.

    But I still have a problem, How do I get my box to recognize the hard drive? when I plug it in the box does not see it. I've also tried plugging it into my pc too, the hard drive is spinning so its getting power!!!

    Might sound like a daft question but have you just tried pressing record?

    When using the HDD for the first time it can take about 5 minutes before it actually starts recording so it might seem like it isn't responding but it just takes a while. If it does start then it's worth keeping 5 minutes or so recorded on the drive.

        Ruba - I remember getting a similar message at soem stage when I got my box but don't remember when or hwo i got round it.

        Does that show up when you press the red record button or when you press PVR? If it's the latter just try the red record button, if its the former then maybe just leave it a few minutes and see whether it starts recording.
