I had the same problem on my ex1000sl.
Your box might not be picking up the transponder signal on a power scan.
You need to directly connect your box to the main cable line coming into the house(no splitters etc)
Then do a factory reset followed by a deep scan. I left this on over night as I did from 100-870mhz. Next morning I had nearly double the channels I had the previous night(inluding Playhouse disney).
