    EX7000HD USB Recording Device ?

    Hi folks,

Just asking what are all your preferences with regards to which item is the most popular to use to record via the PVR button ?

I hear many people using are using the portable 8/16gb memory sticks but I was thinking and hoping of something a lot bigger such as an external hard drive...

Any tips or ideas would be very helpful.

    Cheers guys

      any hdd

and portable hdd is gdgd for this. all you need 2 do is partition it from nfts to fat32. this is so that the box can read the hdd and recognise it as a usb drive. there r loads of youtube vids on this so search fat32 partition on ytube.

btw, i just bought the cheapest hdd of amazon. the best ones r 320gb. if u r recording, say sky movies hd, then it is bout 4 gigs 4 an hour.

      hope this helps m8.

I'm using a 250GB WD Passport - no problems (drive looks nice too!). I had to use a third party formatting tool as Windows XP refuses to format large drives with FAT32.

I am using a maxtor basics 500gb hdd, ?49.99 from tescos.
Formatted it with swissknife. Works well apart from needing to reboot the box occasionally to get it to recognise the hdd
