Keeping favourite channels on re-scan?

Hi guys,

quick question, I got a 1000SL, but... can I do a re-scan whereby I don't lose the FAV groups but will pick up new channels??

I think you need to upload a CDF file to your PC/Laptop before doing the scan and then download it back to your box afterwards. You use the firmware tool to do this.

That'll keep the channels in the order you had them so should work for the favourites too I guess.

the answer is yes if you do a update channels if you do a power scan you will loose your favs
