    Help With CDF

I'm having some success with my old Max V box. Flashed and installed channels OK.

Here's my problem - I'm lazy and wanted to put a CDF file on with all channels sorted into favorites (doing it manually can take hours).

I'm using DnUpMan tool and a compatible CDF file for my area, but cannot get it to work.

    1. Take out cable feed.
    2. Flash Max V box.
    3. Power scan for channels (all working OK)
    4. Max V box switched on at random channel
    5. Open DnUpMan tool and browse for CDF file
    6. Download CDF file - takes couple sec
    7. Max V box resets
    8. Plug in cable feed - NO CHANNELS ?????

Any advise guys. Maybe a dummy guide to CDF would be a good thing.....

    Thanks,

Check CDF file is correct for your area. You could D/load different CDF
or create your own CDF & save on P.C.

as an addition to the post by EAMO 2

if you definitely have a working cdf file for your area (and is it sorted to your liking)

      do a factory default reset
connect your box to the PC with null modem cable and power supply only, leave box on standby (every thing else disconnected unless also using usb adaptor)
download the cdf file to your PC using DnUpman or voxer or UFL flash loader
reconnect to TV and you should be able to view all the channels that were on the cdf file

in my opinion cdf files are generally only any good if you are having difficulty getting all transponders when you scan,
when you get one for your area it will be either in alphabetical order or in the order of whoever uploaded it and this may be totally different to the order you want,
it is much better to upload your own cdf file to your PC and sort it to your liking using a program such as Voxer and then downloading back to your box.
