    EUROVOX- low signal quality

THIS IS A BIT LONG WINDED......... HELP PLEASE !

I'm in need of some help to fix the quality of signal that I'm getting on Eurovox Max (blue)

I'm in the SouthSide of Glasgow with VM. Last Friday 14th August the whole area was down for about 6 hours.

Now out of the 33 frequencies that I can get 30 of them are only showing 67%-71% and the other 3 are fluctuating between 0%-25%.

I have tried several power scans to try & sort this but now I'm not even getting the channel names coming up for the 3 low frequency channels.

My mate has the same F/W on his box and doesn't have any bother, I tried his box in my house and it plays up the same as mine, so I'm kinda convinced it's something to do with the signal that I'm getting.

I've heard mixed reports about signal boosters, would this increase my low signal enough ? but at the same time increase my better signal frequencies too much ?

"Eurovox Max V 8% Signal Fix"
Is this the download that I should be using ? Not really up to speed with what I need to do and what cables/leads that I need to get to upload to box. Can you help? Cheers.

that firmware is no good for your box.
your problem looks like a signal strength issue, first off do you pay for any subscription package

does your Virgin box work OK
have you got the cable in the correct socket rf in
do a factory default reset and scan directly off the feed ie no splitters etc and double check all connections are OK
if the problem persists you could call Virgin and say your signal has deteriorated since the problem on the 14th

I was thinking about putting the VM box back on for a few days and then giving them a call to say picture was freezing up etc. in the hope that they would give my signal a boost or something. Would this work or am I just being a typical NEWBIE.

yeah rf in, virgin box working OK. Going to leave it in for a day or so then do as you say, and blag them a bit.

I know it's not the box as I've tried it at my mates house and did a factory default reset, all the channels came up and seem to all be on the same frequency as mine.

Will let you know how it goes. Cheers.

if you have got splliters than remove them and do a scan!
