yes possible to record to usb pen. Some people have reported that hd channels do not record to some types of usb stick but sd channels are fine.

Apparently the Dane-Elec 16GB usb stick from 7dayshop.com works a treat with HD though.(information provided by Lincsat on techwatch.co.uk)

i have been shipped a 1 TB external USB drive which is not recognised the box. The port works fine with USB pens. Not sure if i am doing something wrong or is the drive faulty. Is the drive too big to be recognised. Help please.

have seen posts on here and other forums of people using them with external hd's as big as that so compatibility cant be the issue

Make sure the usb drive is formatted in Fat32.
