Eurovox EX7000

Hi everyone, I wonder if you can help me. Iv just received my Eurovox EX7000 HD+ box and im really struggling to get it to show channels. I have downloaded the newest firmware Eurovox EX7000 HD 220109 Firmware (2.23 MB). I used winrar and extracted this onto an 8mb flash drive formatted to FAT32. I then put this USB pen into the Eurovox and turned the power switch on the back on. The box came up with the EZ Install menu. Before using this I pressed menu scrolled to USB, selected Data Transfer and selected TBN Down. This had a confirmation I wanted to download which I confirmed and this was done. It then brought me back to the EZ Install. I selected English and GMT time zone. The next step is to scan I confirmed a scan on symbol rate 6887 & 6952. No channels or transponders are showing. Can anyone help I have no idea what I am doing wrong and how I can fix this.

Hi m8 and welcome to the forum all you have to do is put the latest firmware 12/3/ 09 onto your usb pen then into the back of the box switch off/on with the switch at the back of the box the box will reboot find the flash and install it then do a deep scan on the symbol rate for your area

As chic has pointed out there is no need to do all the data transfer stuff when flashing the box. Make sure the the file you downloaded which will have the name 12_03_09.tbn(or something close to it) is renamed flash.tbn. Power off eurovox insert usb stick apply power and the file will be detected automatically and the install process will complete

Hi folks I am having a prob, with new eurovox 7000 hd chanels are there but most of them are scrambled, done the flash thing but no joy read most threads to no avail.been at it for to days,but never mind my sex life can anyone help with the eurovox thing.

So everyone, I finally got the box to work and have the channels coming through. Couple other problems now, when I try to sort channels into favourites it doesn't work at all and I don't have any BBC channels, any ideas on this?

to sort the favourites, you can download the channel editor from the downloads section. as for no bbc channels, do you have any splitters attached before your box. If so, take these out and do a scan with the cable that comes striaght from the wall.

Are you able to get any of the channels? If not it sounds like your box either doesn't have the latest firmware on it (or rather has the "freeview" version) or maybe the symbol rate you're trying is incorrect for your area.

I've also read that having a splitter can cause problems (I didn't have any problems with mine) so it may be worth taking the splitter out just while you're scanning.

Hi m8. I have just got the same box too. But after a bit of research, I finally cracked it. If you have installed the correct updated firmware as a tbn file, then after rebooting, go to deep scan. then select which symbol rate to scan with,(mine is 6.887) then select scan. Be patient as it takes a little time before frequencies are picked up! When ti has scanned, the box will then decode the channels. When this is finished, it will asked you to if you want to save them. Select yes. After a few seconds, it should be sorted, although there are many repeated channels, but you can delete them after if you want. (see manual)
