    Hi guys new to eurovox (help a noob time) :)

    ill make this brief, im getting virgin bband installed and buying a eurovox ex1000 sl, i will just be using a splitter from the cable, other than that do i need anything else? i will update the box and follow the guides on here but just wanted to be ready before i get it installed, also the best place for the latest software would be brilliant, thanks for reading and any help at all would be appreciated

    Hello and welcome to DK m8.

    When you buy a splitter, get a good quality metal one. The cheeper one seem to go wrong.

    You will also need a NULL MODEM cable for updating the softwa*e.

    The softwa*e itself is available in the downloads section.

      brill, cheers pal was just gonna buy one on ebay for a fiver, ill look at the quality now,
      i think the null cable comes with the box My Cable Box-Cable TV Boxes-Eurovox-Eurovox EX1000 SL was what i was gonna get. is there anyehere cheaper you know of? or is there a "BEST" eurovox out there like a recorder one for around the same money?

        Thats about the going price of the 1000SL basic box.

        The EX5100 is the one with HDD option. This retails at about ?140 with a 120gb HDD.

          i wouldn't buy off there mate as far as I know they sell clones
