    education needed in !!!!Fibre Optic!!!!

    hi guys,
i am getting a virgin broadband connection next week, i am getting broadband only, no phone line, no tv.... they are giving me a 10meg connection, however it will be FIBRE OPTIC, so all the research i have done i cant find the answer to this.... i will be connecting a eurovox sl basic box and have bought a splitter, split the bband line to the tv and the bband router.... now i assumed everyone uses the same line to do this... but alot of people have the oldskool bband connection. so please help me to know if this will work from a fibre optic cable only, to splitter then to eurovox and wifi.

happy days, not wasted 85quid on a box.
one more question, iv read how to apply software to the box and understand it but when i recieve the box should i connect it first to virgin and download the channel list so i can save it using the program or will the box already have all the programs on it and i just need to save the programs before ever plugging it into the wall? watched the guide on youtube but it didnt say it just said download your programs so you dont lose them

ther is no fibre optic cable coming to your house. you will have a copper wire going in to the modem. ad a spliiter then have one wire to the modem the other to the bo, job done

Hi m8 when you get your box there will be nothing on it , go to downloads and get the latest firmware for your box flash the box then do a deep/power scan on the symbol rate for your area to get all the channels and read the red sticky at the top of page 1 http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-eurovox-9790/
