Eurovox EX7000 HD Faulty VFD ???

Hi guys looking for a little bit of help/advice. Igot my ex7000 today done all the necessary and am enjoying the HD experience - one slight problem is that I don't have anything showing in the VFD. If tried changing it in the menu but nothing not even while it is booting etc.

Am I missing someting or is it faulty ???

Its not faulty. VFD is just your flouresent display on the front of your box. You don't need to change anything.

I know what the VFD is it's just not working - blank from the second I switched the box on !

What is shown in the VFD ? Can I live without it ?

Its just the channel that your on which you get on screen anyway.
Have you tried turning it upto 3 (max).

Hob is right, just the name of the channel you're watching. I don't even bother looking at mine
