How to scan for channels on 1000sl

Can someone advise me please on scanning for channels.

I am using the scanning guide but when i select user installation and power scan i am getting a message 'deleting channels' ?? There are no channels as this is the first time i have used the box, then the power scan starts but when its finished i still have no channels?

    Any help please.

hi mate, yes i think so. After i select power scan i get a box, which says Start, stop, symbol rate(x4), step 8, fav/sort on/off.

Do i need to complete the 6887 symbol rate in all four boxes? Anf also do i need to change any of the other boxes(start/stop etc)?

This is normal m8, every time you do a full scan, the box will deleate any channel data.(this will happen even on new box)
