Eurovox 5100 harddrive make

Hi

i have an ide harddrive for my 5100 a fujitsu 80 gig and it dont fit.

i have had the case open and notice the drive edge catches the femail IDE conector therfore not making a conection, need exposed conectors or male to male extention

question

does the make of the hard drive need to be Seagate or do other makes fit, trust me the Fujitsu wont in a million years. i have fitted thousands of hard drives in my job and never had this problem.

i have decided to explore the posability of adapting the eurovox conector to fit any 2.5 HD

i have orderd a male to male adaptor and a 2.5 IDE cable, there is loads of room in the box to fit it so i will let you know how i got on

Right have got the stuff and tried 2 HD and still they dont work

i have formated in
fat 32 -16-12
NTFS
and RAW

still nothing and the drives are nearly new and have been teasted

PVR ---- rubbish

will look at getting a box to accept an external drive

working in his shed

M8, its not the box thats rubbish, its the HDD.
Get a internal Seagate or Western Digital HDD upto 120gb and everything will be fine.
