Using splitter/switch

Hi peeps, hope all is well.

Looking at these splitters people are talking about to avoid detection from Virgin if that is the case. Not really sure on the subject but thinking I'll go ahead and get one. Basically, I want my Eurovox box and VM box attached to the same TV.

Just wondering if there are particular brands to go for/avoid or is a splitter pretty much a splitter regardless of the make.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, cheers guys.

they are all the same whether of the net or maplins or somewhere similar.

im sorry for butting in. but how do they help us aviod being detected?

Splitters got nothing to do with if VM can detect your box.
These secondary boxes dont have talkback so VM cannot tell if you are using one, only the original CC box has talkback.

You can use as many splitters as you like but you will loose some signal, so the more splitters you use the moore signal you will loose.

When you buy a splitter it usually tell you that you will loose about 3/5db of signal.

so buy a good quality splitter which will loose as less signal as possible.
