ex 7000 aspect ratio problem and espn hd

hi

i recently got the ex 7000 and just got round to trying it. first problem is even tho 1080i and 16:9 is selected i get picture with borders down the sides.

another problem is that i get no hd chans apart from living hd ive tried deep scanning and other recommendations on these forums but none are working for me. there no espn chans hd or sd no beeb hd or any thing. tho the celtic chan epg shows espn schedule i get a red box saying no signal.

well ive gone and done a brilliantly clever thing i whent and did a factory reset and now i can get zero chans via any of the scan options. im not 100% sure on how to add them manually or via some kinda update.

I was at my mates and he factory reset, then deep scan, switch off box, then on, this will then reboot and all should appear (you may need to go to bb*1 so pic comes on). certain programmes will have the border on the sides, make sure your on 16:9 and then next drop down box is FF

Hi m8 when you did the factory reset and deep scan did you use the right symbol rate for your area also remove any splitters and use a direct feed b4 scanning

no its setup up like this wall --->3 way splitter---> to V box, modem and eurovox 7000 i have no idea what the symbol rate for my area ( kirkless) is. i'll try a direct feed when non is using the internet later thanks
