Eurovox EX1100 Help

Hello ,
I bought a new ex 1100 usb. I have had a bit of a problem though, I followed the link to get the firmware and downloaded it then sent it over to my usb stick and then turned the ex 1100 on, Plugged in the mem stick went to upgrade by usb and was given a message on screen telling me it was unknown format. Anyway after checking the name of the firmware and a quick check online it seemed ok so I flashed anyway and now the tv screen is blank and the box has a purple light on. After a bit of reading and downloading the firmware again it appears that the first file was a bad download,File size was 512 kb, When I did the dl a second time the file was like 1.86 mb so Im guessing I have now put the box in limbo or wiped the o/s off it. Please can anyone help me, Is there a quick fix for this problem?

Hi i also flashed my ex1100 via usb and am also getting a purple light and it wont turn on.. did you get yours sorted? any ideas any 1...

hopefully, as soon as they release a loader so it can be flashed via rs232 these problems will be sorted. spoke to importer a couple of weeks back, and he said it should be soon. then all these bad flashes will be sorted.

Have tryed doing a factory reset? Its in the same part of the menu as upgrade usb etc.

Hi, Sorry for late reply I have not been around for a while.
The only way to fix this bad flash problem is to send it back to Eurovox, Lucky for me my supplier swapped my box. I applied the Firmware correctly on the second and its worked great since. Good luck

You can try flashing the unit with this loader which should resolve the bad flash/purple light problems>Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX1100USB RS232 loader

I had same problem. had bad flash and light went to purple. since i tried everything .. but didnt work. but my supplier exchnge the box for me. try ur supplier wheather u can exchange ?

Hi just download Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX1100USB RS232 loader and follow the steps, you will need a RS232 Cable and trust me this wokrs it has happened to me a couple of times and doing this fixes it any porblems with doing it just message me
