Eurovox 7000hd scanning and installation problems

    Hi,

Having real trouble picking up any channels on the ex7000!
Done everything by the book so far to my knowledge.

Latest update on USB named Flash.tbn
Put the USB in, turn the box off then on again.

Doing the scan - can't pick anything up!

If anyone can help that would be great!
    Thanks
    Fraz

    alright fella,

once you downloaded the firmwear, did you unzip it first before renaming it?
unzip, copy image to usb then rename it
switch box off, plug in usb then switch on and front of box should then show update
once updated, switch off box so it reboots, then do a deep scan

    hope this helps
    johnny

      Thanks for replying.
I did exactly what you said, unfortunately still no joy.

The box extracts and seems to flash correctly. After 'deep scanning' though - the box says 'channels none'.

Can't figure out what is going wrong.

Are there settings I need to be tampering based on the area? (Hatfield, Hertfordshire)

Are you sure you have the latest firmware?

              Yeah, tried both rates.
Do you think it could be a problem with the box? If so, is there a way I can tell (other than the fact it won't pick up channels)?

Scans for ages but no channels come up. The cable lead is defo in the 'rf in' slot.

No, no channels are being found
I get through to the page with TV channels and radio channels each with a box underneath - both empty. A progress bar at 50%, strength bar at 96% and occasionally flashing and quality at 0%

Did you rename the file FLASH.TBN from flash_120309.tbn before putting it into the box.

                              Morning Guys,

I am having much the same problems as nickelfraz is having and my signal is much the same 96% to 99% even with a 3db dropper in-line but if i persevere it works but takes three or four goes !

Do you think if i was to put a 10 or 12db dropper in-line it will brings the signal down to a reasonable level ?

                              Regards
