EX7000HD new beta firmware

EX7000 Sept21st Beta Firmware

Rename file to flash.tbn and put in the root of a USB device and insert into box, on power up the box will load the new firmware.

Do a factory reset and delete all channels.

You can now rename and sort favourites on the box. You can edit the channel list with STBM, but not the favourites. This is still being worked on.

Subtitles are now OFF when switched OFF. Tested in Pure NTL, need feedback on other areas

Whilst on a channel, pressing EXIT displays the now and next 2 programs, pressing EXIT again should display the program description. This doesn't work in Pure NTL, need feedback for other areas please.

Recording label as name rather than channel

As far as i can see you get all that on the 12/03/09 firmware. Including the exit button thing.

Feedback was needed on whether the EXIT button EPG description works and in what areas - it doesn't work in pure.

Fixed is the favourite issue where you couldn't rename all the favourites or even sort the channels into favourites properly.

They also need feedback on whether the Subtitles are OFF in all areas - there have been several complaints about subtitles appearing even when switched OFF

Hi welcome to dk first of all did you flash it with the latest firmware and when scanning make sure you are using the right symbol rate for your area

I was going to test this but havent got an EX7000 yet-I ordered one on the 18th and it hasnt came-Sadly that one isnt for me. From what Ive heard is that this still hasnt fixed the extended EPG

The extended EPG problem may only be a pure NTL issue, need feedback from more C&W and TW users to confirm

well im in notts have two boxes done them both and theres absolutely no difference whatsoever as far as i can see to the march firmware unless im missing something

From what the post says I aint gonna bother its the same as 12/03/2009 if not worse. And (in still to do) whats meant by - Recording label as name rather than channel.
When I record m8 I get the name of what I'm recording not the channel so I'm not sure whats being refered to here.

I wonder what forum you got this from smogy. It seems they're a bit behind. My advice is stick to DK as you could've had the update six months ago if you did .
