    bollox,i killed it !

updated ex5000 pvr with new firmware with no problems, plugged it into tv for scanning and after 10 minutes discovered i hadnt connected the rf cable into the back of the eurovox so it wasnt finding any channels, pressed exit on remote which brought me out of scanning mode, then turned it off and put rf cable in correct position and turned on eurovox and guess what, nothing,no ~~~~in power whatsoever,no standby light, nothing, any help appreciated.........

it's the nosort that's been killing them so it may be ok unplug take the top of (this will void your warranty) and press the small micro reset switch on the main board plug back in and see if that has sorted it if not then it's needing jtaged so reed this tut by sunrise Digital Kaos - Downloads - how to jtag

checked the fuse and its fine, opened it up and pressed the reset button and still no power light, heats up when left plugged in but again it wont switch on,brought it to bowlers in trafford park today but the guys say jtaggin a bit too technical for them so anyone got any suggestions other than buying a new one ? tanx.

so how reliable is the eurovox system?

is there a chance they can block the channels at anytime or is it full proof! any opinions...

                      peace people!
