Got my box this morning, help needed :(

Hi all got my box this morning after much anticipation on my last post... Went for the EX1100... Downloaded all of the firmware, updated it all etc etc.... Can't pick any channels up... tried both the 6952 and 6887 bands... Can't seem to access the emulator menu despite reflashing...
what do you suggest?

I'm not familiar with this box but I have read in other posts
that someone said that trying to access the emu menu (menu/2520) does not work, is there anybody out there that has managed to get into this menu.

also someone having the same problems as you manually inputted a frequency and scanned it getting about 10 channels he then retried a quick scan and he got all channels.

that's strange make sure your not using any splitters and do a deep scan. also the emu thing is not important as soon as u flash it the emu will turn on and the 2520 thing will be disabled

thank you smoggy done exactly that and picked up somethig like 250 channels. But like other people cant watch any cause of that stupid slot 0 message. Ah well sure someone will find a fix. Thanks for the info blizzard about the emulator much help :-) i wasn't usin splitters but am now as still got the virgin box connected

Regarding the slot 0 message - Try factory defaulting the box & putting firmware back on (save your channel list first to your usb)

Tried that, Same thing, Didn't need to back up the channel list tho, Didn't really sort them, I'll do that when I'm bored!

Does the EX1100 have auto channel sort on it like the EX1000?
Which box is the better one?

RED 2520....(enables emulation)

From the info I have found, the "RED 2520" is set to "ENABLE" automatically by the softwa*e.
So when you load the softwa*e the "EMULATION"(red 2520) is set to ON by default.
Because the softwa*e enables the emulation, there is NO manual adjustments required.

I was aware that it is set to default on after a flash but if that option is not available after a flash and it won't be on FTA firmware do you know when you would ever need or be able to access this option

Good question m8. So far have not been able to find out for sure what use this option is for or when to use it. Seen a few threads on other forums but to be honest the answers dont make sense!(not yet anyway)
Like you said, whats the point of this option on FTA!

Sorry m8, just trying to find more info, I thought lincsat supplied boxes ready flashed?
If so, did the 2520 option stop when you flashed or scanned box?
