    hi gys, got a problem. i have tried installing a 120gig HDD into the box but when i tried recording to it , a message come up saying "HDD is either FULL or not installed" any suggestions?

    yeh m8 a lot of people start like this,so just turn off ur box take out the hdd and reload then turn back on.hit the thanx button if helps.

      tried that several times, still showing same meassage. HDD is new

        Try recording on it. It says not installed or full when it's empty too.

          EX5100 PVR HDD problems

          Hi did you sort your HDD problem out for your eurovox 5100,because i have the same problem,maybe you can enlighten me please.

            is the hard drive formatted to fat32. NTFS format will not be recognised

              Yes i tried it after i formatted to fat 32 and wipe it clean,still the same mate.

                sorry fat 32 wont work it needs no format raw to work, you will have to do a distructive test to clear the format with test software such as Eurosoft.

                how it decides to record i am not sure but if you install a formated drive it classes it as full and wont record

                look at 5100 standby problems for more clarification

                  guys this is a common problem, you need to put a five minute recording on the hdd and keep it there at all times. be aware that when you go to record onto an empty hdd it may take up to five minutes to actually start the recording so give it time. it will settle down once the recording is on the hard disc itself.
