    EX7000 HD

Looking to purchase one of these beauties after having the EX1000 for the last year.

Some questions... do i update firmware via a USB? this would be so so much better than using null modem cables etc

Secondly, if i connect a ex HD via USB i take it i can then pause rewind record etc... but can i record say sky movies and be watching sky sports at the same time?

Finally, is it worth me getting one?

    Thanks chaps.

Hi m8, the box firmware is updated with a USB pen.
You cannot record one channel and watch another because it still only has one tuner.(unless both programmes are on the same transponder)
There are about 6/8 HD channels at the moment.

just having sky sports and ESPN on HD is enough for me... is this box worth the 180 odd quid in your opinion?

          ok thanks.

heard the upscaling feature on all other SD channs makes a big big difference so that will do.

I got one about 3 weeks ago. Got bbc hd, c4hd, espn,FX hd, LivingHD,nat geog hd,MTV hd.

Much improved picture on ''Normal channels''. Seems a bit temperamental on recording via USB.Worked then refused with 1TB hard drive, then worked for a week then refused a 64 Gig pen drive.
I do like it, but I'd say its only just won me over.
              Cheers, Daz.
