Eurovox ex 1100 pwr HEELLPP

I just purchased this box off ebay. I never recieved no instructions what so ever. Or R232 cable to upload firmware

I do not know what to do. Chuck it in the bin the most likely outcome at the mo.

What firmware do i upload. how do i upload it.
how do i scan i.e deep scan , power scan. I am using virgin cable north london.

what frequency do i sart on

Hi m8 u will need a null modem cable,then i would say just go to the stickys for all the info you need to get the box up and working,quite easy when you do a little looking.

welcome to dk now you need to take a chill pill mate, a little research prior to purchase would have been handy. what you have bought is an ex1100usb hence no 232 cable it updates with a usb pen stick available at any stationers about a fiver, all the info you need is on the forum, download section for the firmware and the eurovox section for how to do it.

its not going to be a clone as they have only just been released but what people dont realise is by the time they have paid over the odds on delivery charges they work out cheaper from a reputable seller also it is not the best if it goes wrong if it needs to go back under the warranty these sellers on ebay dont want to know

I got mine off ebay for a reasonable price, including P&P. I'm sure there's some dodgy merchants out there so people should be careful, but it's not all bad. Plus, with most people needing to reflash the firmware, the warranty is most likely void regardless of where you purchased it.

Hi ,, Why would flashing the firmware nullify the warranty as you are improving the old one and if it did why would they supply it with an input for USB connectivity ??
I am going to puchase one of these boxes and this site is proving to be a valuable aid in my understanding of them.
I never heard of them until my mate mentioned his.Years ago you could buy dodgy cards in my pub but they didn,t last 2 mins.

Can anyone give me a link to a good dealer that does P&P included in the price ??

these boxes are sold as fta boxes (legally) if u flash them with modified firmware ( illegal) you have altered the box so the warranty will be void.
