Ex7000HD box keeps turning itself off!

I'm having trouble with my ex7000hd box.

Every time I press the pvr button on the remote the box turns itself off and reboots.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Its really frustrating!!!

Turn the switch at the back off wait 20 sec then back on.
      This will reset everything.

I've tried both these but neither seem to work. Any other suggestions?

Silly question - do you have a USB drive connected?

Mine does this from time to time! New firmware soon please!!!!!

Plug your usb drive into a pc and delete one of the programs, normaly the oldest, this works for me.

If it lets you get into the pvr file list but reboots when you try to scroll down to a program, as mine does sometimes, scroll up instead and again delete the oldest recording.

The above always fixes the problem for me.

The problem with recording HD is that the recording medium needs to be able to write a vast amount of data very fast, a usb pen drive cannot do it so a fast external hdd should solve it.
