Eurovox 2 (silver) on standby

Hi People

Need a bit help, I've got a Eurovox 2 that seems to be stuck on standby with 4 ---- and won't turn on, I've not got a clue about this as I'm used to the starview and this Eurovox is my mates.

Any help would be great thanks.

---- normally comes up whe you have it connected to pc for a flash.
What were you doing before this came up.

i am not sure about thet box but other euros have a small black micro reset btn on the mother board take the top of and have a look for it

Thanks guys, I wasn't doing anything before as its a mates box and this is how he gave it to me saying it doesn't turn on now. As for the reset switch I tried pressing that too a few times but nothing happens.

So Im still lost

have you had a look at the caps on the power board for leeking or bulging esp the c14 cap

Just had a look and all the capacitors look fine no signs of leeks or bulging.

I'm lost i'm used to starview...

have you flashed it yet some boxes have ---- on the front when there is no firmware on them

Its a mates box he has had it for years but maybe it needs redone? what program do i need for this box as I can't find it in the download section.
