Do I need to redo firmware?

Hi all, I had a ev5100 for while then swapped with a mate to EV7000, had to swap back this week, but the channels are scrmbled. I have cleared the settings and deep scanned it, but some of the channels are still scrmbled. They were fine before the lend they were fine on the 7000. He is non-tech so he wouldn't have touched it.
So the firmware that I put on in May 09 which worked perfectly, would I need to redo that? I don't think so, but I can't get these channels working. The channels seem half scrmbled half screen shows picture half the logo but all mixed. I tried clearing and deep scanning again, with same results. This is only for some channels not all, I'm in south London.

have you factory reset the box m8 then scanned it .

Thanks you were spot on, I ha dcleared the previous channels, but the factory reset, followed by deep scan, all working now.
