there is a clone safe firmware available in the download section
Your ev2 can be updated to the max blue, but you will need to replace the remote control to the ev blue version

how do i open the file it keeps saying can not open file thanks again

its a zipped file, so you need winrar or winzip to extract the bin file

make sure you have the max blue remote before you flash the new firmware, because your original remote will not work afterwards

i have winrar i try to extract but where do i put it do i need to open a new file will a remote for max v black work thanks again

extract the file to somewhere convenient, eg desktop. The file should be a ufl exe, which is a kind of automated loader. connect your null modem cable to your eurovox and the loader will transfer the bin file to your eurovox. The max black remote, i'm pretty sure will not work with your ev2

You'll definitely need a new Remote -- DON'T PANIC!!
