Newbie please help

Hi i have just bought a eurovox ex 1100 and was wondering how you use winrar to extract the new firmware to place on usb stick to upgrade box. I have looked at other posts and i just dont get how to put the correct file onto my usb drive, im just useless at this. Any help would be great thanks in advance.

if you have winrar installed then when you right click on the file it will give you the extract options in the context menu

Hi Smoggy thanks for reply but im getting error message when i try to open the file. Says ex1100 usb sep abs the arhive is either unknown format or damaged . I GIVE UP .

Hi again i managed to get file on usb it says unpacked size 1,966080 and when i go to view file it says NCRC bootloader soncu2n-0.1.0 2009-9-1. Is this what i put on my box, i know i aint much good at this but i dont want to fry my box cheer guys.

Hi, new here, had old ex1100 sl and just got the new ex1100 sl usb.

Tried tuning it in and got a dollar sign showing up before the channel names and got them tuned in but no picture???

Would be grateful for any help.

i get exactly the same,,they are all scrammbled,

iv tried downloading the firmware from the links but it just aint happening,it always says ,,,,cannot open file windows does not support

I think you need to unzip the file using winzip or winrar?

You can then drag onto your USB stick and upload onto the box

hi anybody can help put latest firmware on eurovox 1100 but some chanells show flashing screen but visual is ok
