i am dying to buy a hd cable box but keep getting 'put off' when researching wot to do!!

spoke to someone today who said i am best waiting a few weeks for one of the new boxes that will come with ethernet ports - i was told the starview hd hasnt got it but the next batch of them will, also kryptview are bringing out a box with one soon and eurovox will have one out in jan.

does this sound right and why do i need the ethernet? will it help in the future if it goes iptv (if thats what its called!!)??

im not sure about some of the info youve been given but the ones that need ethernet cable i would think are the sat and cable boxes in one, like open media already have and starview are about ready to introduce theres aswell, my thoughts are is if one of cable or sat goes pearshaped anytime soon the box can still be used for receiving tv rather than to stop the door from shutting

ethernet will be for cs on cable as well as sat if things happen. new starview hd will have adaptor so this can be done, so no worries, we will have free tv for a lot longer yet.
