Transfer info from one box to another

    hi all

is it possible to transfer all the channel and settings from a max to an ex7000
via a USB stick or something else???
i am guessing that i would do this once i have updated the firmware? but before i do a scan.....?
will i need to input regional settings for VM or is this done automatimaly?
lastly is the 120309 is the latest firmware?

sorry about all the questions but thank you for the help

            1. is it possible to transfer all the channel and settings from a max to an ex7000
no you need a tbn file the max is a cdf you might get a tbn in downloads.
2.yes you update the firmware 12/3/09 then do a deep scan on the symbol rate for your area 6887 or 6952 you will have to put this in manualy

                thanks for the help

all works a treat, at first the splitter had me going, only getting 10% but removed it and got 60% i dont know if thats good????
do you have to keep rescaning if your missing channels?
                or is there another way?
thanks again for the help chic.

60% is not good it should be around 80% do you have any more splitters connected if not you will need a booster
