observed raised capacitor on power supply C14 replaced with 1000 micro farad 10v flashed box with blue clone safe now working fine thanks for all info obtained from ure site really good

I would recommend a 16V cap as the 10V is too low.

Mickos, when yours went down did it simply go off or did it play up and slowly die. Reason i ask is my max blue went down the other day, the display on the front of the box was going all wierd for a few days then it just died. We mourned its passing last night and talked about getting another box. This morning i plugged it in for one last time and it works, full signal and all the channels are there, but the display still goes weird, on and off. I wondered if it was a symtom of the capicitor going and whether i should get it replaced.

original cap was only 6.4 v so thought would be ok with a 10v well if goes again I will put a bigger un in probubley last untill virgin upgrade thair softwear to sky IF thay do

It was only a recommendation mickos, if it is working don't fix it
