Help - Purple light ex1000

Recently had psu replaced, used for a week and the box wont do anything now just has flashing purple light only had the box a few months and seller on an auction site wont replace.

I can't sort this myself as I only have a net book, and dont know what I'm doing anyway.

Can anyone sort this for me, or am I just better off ditching it and getting a 5100 instead?

Not worth buying another box when that works fine.

cheers, ordered a cable I'll give it a go.

Tried following the fix guide I'm fast loosing patience, got as far as running upgrade, powering on the box which i assume you mean plug it an cos I cant switch it on the only thing it does its keep flasing purple.

I have no idea what it means by select the main code all that happens when running the installer it says sync to serial port...any help or simple step by step for dummes please?

if the light is flashing on and off the psu is faulty if you have a steady purple light then the loader will fix it

once your box is connected to receiver you then see the option to select maincode
you wont see this as your psu is faulty ,i fixed 5 purple light last saturday had two with flashing light like yours they would not connect till psu was replaced
