NAGRA 3

N3 has ben in the states people have the dump long time ago. Not much space for code and they have a checksumm check as soon as you load it up it loops it up. Some people got tiers to work for few hours. If its done it will be 100 percent emulation. Would not work for us but if you shared really small image and emulated it. Think you be ok. If your N3 is even anything like ours.

we've been very lucky for a while, lets hope there is a cure for vermins new nag 3

like most have said nobody has cracked sky so i doubt for a while the nag 3 problem will get solved

like most have said im glad i didnt buy a HD box and waste ?200

the old cat and mouse game - microsoft do it once a year but most get it cracked within weeks

No New boxes from VM just new cards, clone the card! or read it with a sub box card reader. If it works on a normal box just take out the card reading section, plug in a 6v power supply hook up to a PC via USB with a universal card reading software. Is it that simple?

Just thinking how many will jump ship as most peeps subscribe to the basic package to use these boxes so when nag 3 comes in why would they stay on the basic package maybe upgrade to the full package total cost 74.45 inc line rental with 1 of payment of 75 for v+ box or go to sly for 69.75 inc line rental and a 1 off charge of 30

when the whole system goes nagra 3 i am sure these companies that sell the digi boxes will get there top guys on the job to beat it. it might take a few months. because they will be losing millions makes sense to me.

I only wish I had your belief, to put things into perspective, Nagra 3 has been out in Europe/USA for some time, and it hasnt been cracked (even say it has it has not been made public) secondly their are various versions of Nagra 3 in use, so even if one version is cracked, dont think others will be, and also the main reason Nagra 3 will not be cracked for a while is because it uses some form of RSA keys and anyone who has worked with RSA based encryption, will know the difficulty of cracking such a system

And on the point of card share, as the Eurovox is closed source and has no network port, doubt card share will work with them, as card share has been in use for a long time, mostly on the satellite side and with the LInux based open source box's like Dreambox.

It'll be so easy for them to implement a lan port on the next gen boxes and modded f/w to allow cccam to work with them for example. I doubt they would have anything to do with servers though customers would need to organise that side themselves i would suspect.

as Eurvox is close source, its when the developers decide to write a new firmware to use CCCam lets say - however I am not even sure card sharing the new VM cards is possible, and even if it is then not sure what cam can be used.

The old blue sly cards were card shared using cccam but once the new white sly cards were sent out they could not be shared with cccam but had to use newcs for server and cccam for client, now cccam v 2.1.3 is out, these cards work. With the Eurovox the developers cant be certain which cam will work and until then, they can not release a firmware.

Again point to make is the Eurovox powerful enough in terms of processing power to decrypt Nagra 3 streams, as Nagra 3 streams require alot of processing power, as I think the Eurovox was engineered primarily for the nagra 1 stream.

This is the reason I never invested in a Eurovox, as it closed source, where as the Dreambox is open source and based on the Linux operating system and the support for these box's is huge and this is worldwide.
