eurovox ex1100, does not play

forgive me for being stupid, i have bought ex1100sl put it in to search and found approx 270 channels but the vast majority just say scrambled, it does play fta channels and a few others.does the box need a flash? i'm confused because it also plays the adult channels which are subscibtion and and should be scambled HELP!!!!

I'm in south shields, i have scanned this box a number of times with same result. now unplugged ,useing my old eurovox max untill i know whats wrong!!

if you have just bought it the chances are it only has the free to air firmware on it

make sure you switch box off whenever inserting or removing pen drive

Thanks Smoggy i recon i will try that but if it only has FTA firware how does play adult channels

not sure why you are seeing adult channels unless they are only showing previews and when it comes to the proper night time viewing they go scrambled
if you haven't flashed the box then its odds on it needs flashing
you could post what it says in your system information and then someone will be able to tell for definite which firmware is on your box

oops more probs have downloaded firmware but can't open it message saying can't open file as it is in unknown format or corrupted. the file is ABS but my computer cant open it. I'm not having much luck any help appreciated

You dont open the file you put it on a usb stick turn box off before you put it in or take it out of the box and flash it using the remote and the menu's

i need to do same thing so found this thread helpfull.I have downloaded the file to USB and will have ago tomoro.Had to sign up to another siteto get the download though
