EX1100USB ive done all sugestions

Ive tried all sugesyions i can find and have upgraded firmware from here every scan comes up with no channels found and when switching was saying no signal.I had a working virgin box plugged in before i connected this one.i tried it at my mates house and it worked fine although the channels were crambled as i hadnt done the firmware then.i did use his cable and adapter though could it be the eurovox arial adapter? ive spent hours now reflashed several times tried tuning a dozen times all no use please please help

are you using the correct symbol rate for your area 6887 or 6952

now thats something i havnt checked as my friends place is 25 miles away.I took my machine back over there today with my connecter and it worked perfectly even the firmware unscrambled all.Brought it back to rugeley and it says no signal again.I know there must be a signal as i can plug the virgin box back in and its fine.Can you tell were i need to look to check area setting and if that would give the the no signal fault i have.

Press menu,installation,power scan and i think you can change it in there.

i dont have 1 of them boxes but it should ask for the symbol rate when you do a deep/power scan put in 6887 then scan if that dos'nt work then try 6952

on my box power scan shows half dozen symbol rates each on a seperate line under each other so im asuming it checks them all automatically.please let me know if im wrong.Its the no signal message im getting that is bugging me when i connect the machine as it fired staight up at my mates

ive tried both 6952 and 6887 seperately still no good and i know the machine works.Im in the rugeley area if that makes a difference.i have to fix it now as im not the sort to curl up and die

were is rugley when its a home
Do a factory reset then put 6952 or 6887 in the top box and a zero in the other ones then do a scan

im not in an area that might have been blocked by any chance as i was just reading a post that we are all going to be cut off over christmas

i just tried disconectic the ariel and the sinal rate vanished but when i plugged it back in it went back upto 28 which is normal so there something yet i still get the no signal on the tv screen

did a reset as you sugested trying the 6952 but nochannels yet at 45%

if the box work's at your mate's house...and you have scanned on the default provider 6952 telewest and on 6887 ntl..then you have ah problem with the main feed.

hi,

i had this same problem with the ex1100 usb. It was not workin at my house as all channels were at 28%. I took it to a friends house, power scanned and everthing worked fine. i rang up my m8 who i bought the box from and he said it happens often with the ex1100 boxes. Apparently some peoples cable feed is weaker then others and this box only works on strong feeds. The normal vm boxes work everywhere as they dont require a stronger feed.

So, my suggestion for you would be to try a cable signal booster which might give it more power, if not swap it for a different box.
