eurovox ex7000

Im having a problem using my hard drive with my eurovox ex7000. it keeps saying usb not inserted when it is. any ideas why it says this, thanks

sometimes happens switch box off take it out put it in and switch back on if that dos'nt work make sure its formated to fat 32

You need to format the hdd to FAT32 via your laptop or pc using a free shareware program called swissknife. I had same problem with an old ps3 hdd which was already fat32 formatted, it would not work with ex7000hd until I did above.

I had the same problem with my ex7000 but solved the problem by using a usb powered hard drive, now no prob's
and I shut it off with the switch at the back every evening,
and when I switch back on the hard drive comes back on
at the same time, I think having a separate power supply
was causing the problem.

As above format to fat32. Swissknife won't work if your using vista but if you try googling fat32formatter you may just find another tool or try https://www.use-seiber.de/usbtrouble...L#format_fat32 and download the app of the above name from there (fat32formatter). Worked for me and you don't have to partition the drive into chunks.

Big thanx to chic & al this thread fellas ,its a really good help & i thought i would put the soft up for anybody else that search's the forum to find the same problem& scottydotty thanx also. great finished 6.30 this morning & it worked a treat .thanx for the helpful post & all tips. 'FAO NEWBIES 'seriously if you search its there for you to read & is the best advice with a walkthrough .again thanx for the time& efforts of all stafff& members who took there time to make all understandings possible in to practice
