RS232 Loader EX6000SD

Hi

I have gone through the process of flashing the EX600SD which has very nearly been smashed to pieces with a mallet in my garage! In a final plea to get it working I am posting this thread. I have gone through the usb pen drive process and now when the box is switched on I get one sequence of lights then it goes dead, I was advised on the forum earlier to conect the blasted thing to my PC using a null modem cable which I have done. Then I am to use a rs232 LOADER TO FLASH THE BOX AGAIN.... What is a loader and where do I get it from? I realise to most of you this will be a stupid question but I am flummoxed. My best bet is to buy another PVR 5000 so much simpler to sort. Ant help would be greatly appreciaed Regards

thanks guys I have managed to get the loader...BUT

Hi Guys I noe have the loader on my PC and have connected it, however it now just tells me to turn the box on and connect it when it already is, I wil try another pc in the meantime, so near yet so far

why dont you switch nox off and on then as thats what its asking for

I have tried thast several times, is there anyway that I could reset the factory settings even though there are no lights on put there is power going to it?

i need desprate on downloaded software on 6000 i have a r232 lead but can understand how to do it, it says i need a file to back it up how do i do this plz help
