Eurovox 5100 stays at 0% when flashing

Hi, all the channels on my eurovox 5100 was scrambled when i bought it a few weeks ago so i decided to do a firmware update, i downloaded the 5100 UFL from this site, connected my box to my computer via a nul modem cable and a converter cable to usb. when i start the download it detects the box and the display on the box changes to "dnLd" but the pogress status on the UFL software stays at 0% I would appreciate and help given to solve this problem. thanks in advance..

did you do a factory reset before you flashed your box if not try that also do you have it on correct symbol rate 6952 or 6887

Hi Thank you for your quick reply's I think i have the correct software, the UFL program states it is for the EX 5100. I did not factory reset the box before i attempted the procedure so i will try that now and let you know how i got on.

Andy4, I am not sure what the symbol rate is or how to find it, cuold you give more info please?

one other thing, is there two different types of firmware for this box? i have read that there are two types, usb and non usb, mine is non usb.

try one symbol rate if that doesn't work try other one won't do any harm to your box & if you d/loaded firmware off dk it will the correct one

Hi, i am still having problems with this box, factory reset it and did a channel scan but the channels was still scrambled, i tried to flash it again but UFL software progress bar stays at 0%. I have also changed the symbol rate but after scan the channels are still scrambled The firmware i am using is UFL_EX5100PVR_DarX_16-01-09. is this the correct one for my box?

Hi m8 press menu and on language settings press ok then type 1968 and enable the emulation

when it says o% m8 switch box off for 30 seconds or so then switch back on then it should send i have had this prob before

Hi Antsumner, Thanks for your information, it got me further than i was getting. The firmware transfer started but as the progress bar neared compleation i received a failed message I hooked my box back up to the TV anyway and scanned for channels and they are all still scrambled. any ideas? Thanks for your help

Hi Chic, i tried what you sugested re turning emulation on but i dont have that menu, i seem to remember a hidden menu like that on a digivox xl but i am not sure the eurovox ex5100 has such a menu? Thank you also for your help

Hi m8, if the 1968 menu option is not available then the box has not flashed successfuly. You also need to make sure that the USB adaptor firmware is updated and choose a COMM port from 1 to 3.

it does that mate then it will say sucessfull put it on sky sports 1 and leave it. PLEASE NOT IF YOU R IN LEEDS THESE BOXES R DOWN AT THE MINUITE.

Thank you everyone for helping me out. I tried flashing the eurovox EX5100 on another computer and it worked! the fault as badapple sugested was a com port problem, my computer just did not want to play.. i was fortunate to have another computer and flashing worked..If you have the same problem that i did and you have acess to another computer then pleas try it.
